For the past couple of years, the camp has received girls from New York, Maine, Connecticut, South Carolina, Texas and even France.

But Samantha Lane, 20, and Ashley Buxton, 14, aren't your typical young women.
Storming into a burning building, rapelling down a four story concrete wall, tearing apart cars, and putting out dumpster fires and brush fires aren't typical summer activities for young women.
"What was really incredible about last year's camp was a young woman who graduated being hearing impaired," Danielson said.
"This particular camp is just for young women," said Dave Danielson, public information officer for the New Hampshire Fire Academy. "This camp excludes males so the young women can focus and achieve goals rather than socializing with the boys."
Tears that came from the eyes of girls who feared heights quickly were replaced by ear to ear grins as their feet touched the ground safely.
She was able to go through every exercise with the help of other campers who guided her throughout the camp and the last exercise, the burning building.
"You are going to have to rip off my hand, because I am not letting go of this rail," Lane said jokingly, before rapelling off the side of the cement building.
